Rocxter Travel is a member of Independent Travel Experts Ltd (ITE), company number 07701813.

This policy explains how Rocxter Travel uses cookies and similar technologies on rocxtertravel.co.uk.

For personal information, see our privacy notice.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files saved on your device by a website. They can help a website function, remember choices or understand how it is used. Similar technologies, such as browser storage and tracking pixels, can serve related purposes.

How this website currently works

Our current public website is a simple information site. Our website code does not use cookies or browser storage to track visitors. It uses browser storage only to remember when you dismiss our cookie notice. We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, marketing pixels or embedded social-media widgets. Our fonts and destination photographs are served with the website.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare hosts and protects our website. Depending on the security features in use and whether a security check is needed, Cloudflare may place security cookies on your device to help distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic. These cookies support website security rather than advertising.

The following are examples of Cloudflare security cookies that may be used when the relevant protection is active. Their inclusion here does not mean that each cookie is set on every visit.

CookiePurposeDuration
__cf_bmHelps Cloudflare identify automated traffic when its bot protection is active.Expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.
cf_clearanceRecords the outcome of a Cloudflare security check.Depends on the security configuration and the expiry set when issued.

Read Cloudflare’s cookie information and privacy policy for details of its services and processing.

Remembering this notice

When you select “OK, got it”, we store a preference called rocxter_cookie_notice in your browser’s local storage. It records the notice version and an expiry date, and is honoured for 180 days. It does not identify you or track your browsing. The notice may return after this period, if the policy changes, or if you clear your browser’s site data. You can reopen it using the “Cookie notice” link in the footer. Dismissing the notice does not consent to optional tracking.

Your cookie choices

Where a cookie is strictly necessary to provide a service you request, consent is not required, but we explain its purpose. If we introduce optional cookies or technologies that require consent, we will provide a choice before activating them. Continuing to browse will not be treated as consent.

The current public website does not offer an optional-cookie preference panel because it does not currently use optional analytics or advertising cookies.

Links to other websites

Our Instagram and Facebook links take you to those services. They are ordinary links, rather than embedded feeds. Those services may use their own cookies when you visit them; their cookie and privacy policies apply there.

Forms and future changes

This policy describes the current public website. If we add a sign-up form, analytics or other integrations, we will review their cookies and similar technologies, update this policy and provide any required choices before those features are made available.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking security cookies may cause extra security checks or prevent parts of a website from working. Deleting cookies does not necessarily stop a website from placing them again on a later visit.

For general information, see the Information Commissioner’s Office guidance on cookies.
